Treatment, Maintenance and Prevention Suggested Dosages
Dosage depends upon the weight and age of your dog, his/her general health prior to contracting Heartworm, and on how severe the Heartworm infestation is. The Treatment Program needs to be continued for between 4 months (for a VERY mild case of Heartworm) and 12 months for a more severe case. Then for a FURTHER 12 months, you’ll need the Maintenance Program. Then once your dog has been completely free of Heartworm for 12 months (or has never had Heartworm), you should follow the Prevention Program. These are some general guidelines, which you may need to adjust slightly for your dog.
